Jamie @ Age 6 (and happy birthday me)

Better late than never, but here is my usual post of what my kids love at their current age 🙂

Jamie at age 6

It was my 36th birthday (or 21st with 15 years experience) on Friday and I felt rather creative and I wanted to make myself a pic with what I love as well… but then luckily my internet connection was buggered. In retrospect that was actually a good thing because mine would have said *Wine * Chocolate *Carbs *Baking *Wine *Chocolate *Reading which I don’t get time for anymore *Going on dates with hubby which we don’t get time for anymore *Wine *Chocolate *Carbs :p

At first I felt apprehensive to growing older, approaching my late thirties, but then I realised I like where I am in life. I don’t worry as much about what people think of me anymore, I take less bullshit and I speak my mind more.  Yes, there are more wrinkles and 2 grey eyebrow hairs (which I pluck out religiously), but I still feel pretty on good days, I feel more comfortable in my own skin. I am more fit than I ever been in my life – I can run a 5km, I’m losing the extra weight gram by gram and I am happy with that. I’ve never been a confident person, but that is changing bit by bit.

I had such a special birthday this year and much thanks to my hubby for making it special with great pressies and a night out with the kids (even if it was “just” Spur, but hey we’ve got kids).  My friends and family made it all special with their birthday messages, special thoughts and gifts. ❤ Lucky me. Blessed me. xx
