About my little family

Hi, I’m Debra 🙂

In 1999 I met the man of my dreams; and not long after that he asked me to be his girl.  We built a beautiful relationship and in 2003 we moved to Pretoria to start our lives living together.  In 2004 I got promoted to fiance and eventually tied the knot on the 23rd of December 2006.

In May 2008 we moved back to home soil – Port Elizabeth and eventually decided to start trying for a baby the next year.  We were blessed enough to fall pregnant after just one month of trying.

Jamie Alexander was born on the 21st of July 2010, exactly 11 years after me and his dad went on our first date.  Our little boy enriched our lives in so many ways.  I love that dude so much, with his blonde hair and blue, sparkly eyes.

Life with Jamie is so exciting, absolutely never a dull moment with him around.  Loved having a little baby boy, all those cuddles and sleeping with him on my chest and that lovely baby smell was just WOW.  We went through the terrible twos, currently busy with the throttling threes and soon the farking fours will keep us on our toes as well, but the laughs, the love, the adventures is just wonderful and outshines any obstacles there might be.

I love my boy to infinity and beyond and would not trade him for anything in the world, but there was also a longing in my heart to be a mom of a little girly and 2013 hubby and I decided it’s time to give it a shot.  We did try specifically for a girl and used the Shettles Method; and a few other things.  I knew it was a long shot, but it’s always worth the try – why not; and if I would have had two sons, I knew I would be raising two wonderful gentleman who would always love their mom; and that would have been fine too.

It took me a little longer to fall pregnant, because of the Shettles Method and in our last month of trying specifically for a girl we fell pregnant.  I was so happy, hubby was so happy and this time around we had a little dude also happy to hear he was getting a sibling!  In December we had our 16 week scan and the gynae told us it’s a little girl.  God answered my prayers, I still want to cry if I just think about the feelings of joy that overcame me that day in the doctor’s office.

On the 27th of May 2014 our beautiful daughter was born. We named her Shae Hannah and she’s as lovely as her name.

Now now our little family is perfectly complete!
