The first month of the Terrific Two's

I can’t believe another month has passed, a whole month since my boy turned two!  And boy oh boy, we’ve been having non-stop fun!  It’s almost like since he turned two that it’s a whole different ball game – things just runs more smoothly and life is so much easier.  We haven’t seen a tantrum in a couple of weeks, communication are easier because he better conveys what he wants… that or we understand him better and he’s been so good and an absolute joy.  Life’s been goooooood 🙂

Jamie’s just the cutest little angel. He at last learned to say his own name, along with a few other words and he has started to string some words together – his favorite at the moment “haai sies” – it’s so funny.  On the physical side of things he truly grows with the speed of light – I have a tall boy and my oh my – he is getting heavy.  He’s been keeping busy – active like always and keeping his mom and dad on their toes!  Although I must say he keeps himself busy for longer stretches of time with his toys.  His favorite is his Thomas & Friends toys – he has quite a collection now… already has 4 Percy’s and his new acquisition a Stanley.  When we move into our new house I want to redecorate his room and use Thomas as the theme, so I better get my paint brushes out!  He very affectionately calls Thomas “toot-toot”, how sweet is that!

This past month has been quite busy for him as he had to attend 3 birthday parties and 2 parties at school – lots of birthdays this time of year!  So my little boy practically ran on sugar!  Talking about sugar, the little dude discovered my Lindt dark chocolate slab on Saturday and he ate some of it – I couldn’t believe it, I really didn’t think he would like the bitter, dark chocolate, but he did.  I guess he inherited my chocoholic-genes!

Happy 25 months, my gorgeous little dude!  Stay as gorgeous and sweet as you are now!

Mammie loves you around-the-world, to the moon and back, and around-the-world again!

  2. Jamie is so gorgeous, I look for you guys whenever we are out and about. We really must get our Thomas fanatics together.
Funny enough, Liam’s new word for the week is “sies” Don’t know where he got that from

    • Thank you, Helen! We really do have to get our Thomas fanatics together! I’m just afraid my little dude won’t let Liam play with his trains, he is really selfish with them, but I’m working on it 😉
Cute that Liam also says Sies 😀

  3. Such a gorgeous little boy 🙂
I’m glad you got the good side of having a 2 year old LOL Declan, on the other hand, prefers to give us a taste of term “terrible twos” LOL But at the end of the day it’s all good. It’s definately much easier, like you say, & in so many ways a LOT more fun 🙂
    Great update! xx

    • Thank you 🙂 Hehe well we’ve only been in the two’s for a month, so I’m sure the terrible will break through at times here as well, and I’m so not looking forward to it! But I guess this all will make us stronger 🙂

  4. So glad to hear that you are in the terrific twos, we have have bypassed the terrible twos and moved into downright terrifying twos – but hey that’s life 😉

The easier communication is just a blessing!

    Happy 25 months Jamie.

    • Hi Rox – hehe I’m glad it’s still terrific twos, although I experienced two terrible nights with almost no sleep! Ai but I guess all this is part of the package!

  5. Jamie is a one seriously handsome little fella!!
The communication thing does make things easier …. how awesome that his 2s are terrific 🙂
